Our Story

Steamboat Food & Wine Festival is a thoughtfully curated food and wine festival where integrity shapes every detail, creating unforgettable moments for guests, chefs, and winemakers. It’s a place where passion comes to life, immersed in a setting that captures the feeling of being at the peak of life.

Taste for Impact

Aimed to inspire and empower the next generation of chefs and wine enthusiasts with hands-on experience and supportive mentoring, culinary students from across the country are recruited through a nomination and interview process and placed with chefs and beverage professionals during the festival’s events, workshops, and tastings.

The Taste For Impact Mentorship Program was created to address accessibility and mental health support for students in the culinary world, drawing inspiration from nonprofit organizations such as Careers Through Culinary Arts (C-Cap) and The Burnt Chef Project.

Sustainably Sourced

Surrounded by Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, Steamboat Food & Wine Festival is an intimate journey into taste and culture. Culinary visionaries and world-class vintners come together to share their craft in a way that feels both inspiring and personal. Each gathering centers on connection between guests, creators, and the flavors that define each experience.

At its core, Steamboat Food & Wine Festival celebrates exceptional food, wine, and the people behind them. Every dish honors the farmers, artisans, and winemakers who bring their best to the table. Chefs highlight the peak of summer’s harvest, while vintners select wines that elevate each pairing.

Non Porffit Support

Scholarship Program

Steamboat Food & Wine Festival connects patrons with small boutique wineries that may lack the resources to travel and promote their brands. Through the Taste For Impact mentorship program, a limited number of scholarships are awarded each year, waiving participation fees and potentially including travel or lodging stipends.

Nonprofit Support

Steamboat Food & Wine Festival has contributed more than $13,500 to nonprofit organizations supporting causes meaningful to the culinary community, including disease research, food access initiatives, and environmental care. Charitable partners include Steamboat Mountain Club and Steamboat AIDS Benefit.
